Friday 11 October 2019, 9.30-4.30pm

Insightful training delivered in the restful setting of The Walled Nursery in Hawkhurst, with registration being open from 9am. You'll be greeted with refreshments, ready for a 9.30am start. The day will end at 4.30pm, with a 6 hour CPD attendance certificate. The day includes:

  • An in-depth focused presentation with PowerPoint, small group work, and personal reflection time, in the confidential and comfortable Wellness Centre;

  • A comprehensive workbook of resources;

  • Delicious refreshments throughout the day, including lunch in The Vinery Cafe;

The day includes:

  • definitions, myths and statistics;

  • an overview of the spectrum of disordered eating;

  • a consideration of the social and cultural factors that can influence eating habits;

  • an exploration of the role of diet culture in the lives of our clients;

  • a consideration of fresh and diverse approaches to weight, health and aesthetics;

  • an introduction to the research that supports a non diet approach;

  • an introduction to Intuitive Eating;

  • an introduction to Health At Every Size;

  • resourcing, safeguarding and signposting;

  • Q+A

This day will benefit professionals seeking:

  • to establish or update their working practice with regard to disordered food relationships and body image;

  • to adopt a whole health approach to their clients, and to disordered eating;

  • to adopt evidence based, effective and progressive strategies to support healing from disordered eating, chronic dieting, and poor body image;

  • to connect with other non-diet professionals and establish a like-minded colleague network.
