Supervision
Offering supervision as a service was borne out of my love affair with our work - as therapists, held in a tradition of healing and support work.
I've been a therapist for nearly fifteen years, and in private practice for half that time. I've established a practice that is satisfying, robust, and works for me as a healer and as a human.
I'm passionate about the work we do, and I'm passionate about the way we do it. I'm enthusiastic, kind, and principled. My therapy is at the intersections of trauma, weight neutral eating disorder support, and identity affirmation. My work is fat, queer, neurodivergent, always with a consideration of power dynamics and anti-oppressive practice. It's rooted in consent and cultural safety.
This is supervision, not as a monthly tick-boxing requirement, but as an honouring of both you and your clients. An ethical container that bears witness to your skills, and helps you grow. The joy of feeling safely held, and held in relationship that allows us to foster a culture of accountability, of critical thinking. Solidarity as a verb, justice as a verb, safety as a verb.
This is supervision that helps your work to come alive. That helps your work to burn with passion, and with intention. This is supervision that helps you to build sustainable, satisfying, useful practice - useful for your clients, and useful for you.
It's collaboration and coalition. It's narrative and embodied. As I describe it, this is supervision by the fireside - us showing up within our community, sharing wisdom and connection, held in tradition.
For more of a sense of the roots and values of my supervision, head to my Substack to read my series of Supervision Stories - I loved writing these, and I hope they give you a good sense of the potential of our connection.
